Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus (Cristoforo Colombo, Cristóbal Colón, Cristóvão Colombo) made four voyages of discovery to the New World, accounts of which can be found at the links below. Please note the length of the narrative of his first expedition is of such a length that I have broken it up into five bite-size chunks.

THE FIRST VOYAGE

3rd August 1492-15th March 1493

+ - land ahoy!- 3rd August to 11th October.

+ - cities of gold? - 11th October to 21st November.

+ - ¡Feliz Navidad! - 21st November to 25th December.

+ - the return - 26th December to 16th January.

+ - back to the old world - 17th January to 15th March.

THE SECOND VOYAGE

24th September 1493-1494

THE THIRD VOYAGE

30 May 1498-1500

THE FOURTH VOYAGE

2nd April 1502-7th November 1504
